2023 Donation to Sister to Sister Program
Women's Cancer Resource Center is deeply honored to be the sole beneficiary of Project Loving Life's 13th Annual Gala and Luncheon. Each year, the community event, fashion show, and fundraiser out does itself in support of our Sister-to-Sister program. Under the leadership of its founder, Miss Bobbie Wakefield, this year's Project Loving Life gala raised $12,000 for support groups, educational offerings, and community health advocate volunteers supporting the unique needs of African American/Black women facing a cancer diagnosis.

2022 Donation to Sister to Sister Program
Miss Bobbie Wakefield, Founder of Project Loving Life, visited our Center last week with members of their Board of Directors and presented Delores Moorehead, WCRC’s Community Engagements Director and Client Support Clinician, with an $8,000 donation! These funds will be used to support our Sister to Sister program’s annual retreat and other activities for the women in our program.
A few members of our Sister to Siter group were in attendance to thank Miss Bobbie and her Board for supporting them through their cancer journey.
